D dawnnys Well-known member Jan 26, 2009 #5 I thawed v-s pork in the refrigerator and used it several days later. The vacuum-packaging retards the growth of bacteria I think (except in the case of botulism, which thrives in anaerobic conditions (ie., a can)!). Either way, we are fine ;o)

I was feeling very virtuous as I did not have any rice with it, a low carb night. Except for the wine of course! LOL Thanks all for your advice!
