There is an All-Clad factory seconds sale on, a lot of it just packaging damage, not second quality

Lana, I very nearly missed yr comment way at the bottom inside, & laughed out loud when I read it!

I've bought all my all-clad from the factory sale - seconds and damaged package

There used to be an outlet in town (long since gone) but even the staff there couldn't figure out why they were seconds - couldn't find the flaw.

Then all-clad closed the factory stores and started online sales. I've bought both seconds and damanged package and still have not been able to figure out the flaw.

I've been buying a piece or two per year this way, and now have quite a collection. But I keep it to pieces I actually use. That asparagus steamer - nope.

Ever checked out Amazon Warehouse Deals? And looked at the reasons items are a deal? . . .

Alot of the Amazon Warehouse deal stuff is a deal because it was returned because the package is damaged even though still sealed, stuff like that. Sometimes the damage is not big, but a little tear, fairly minor.

I can't imagine returning something without opening the box, because the box was lightly damaged!

No - I didn't know about that. You're enabling my kitchen ware addiction

I try not to buy things I won't use. But there's a visiting nurse association rummage sale near me 2 times a year. I've found soooo many things there. A lot of which was items never used. in their boxes. Go figure.

One of the best things to pic up are the cut glass heavy plates. Usually $1 or $2. Use them to take baked goods (cookies/cakes) to a function and I don't care if I get them back smileys/smile.gif
