to brighten the day, I enjoy bringing this one out every summer--

Mom didn't even want us home---when we finally got AC, if we were outside, we were to stay out---

no unneccesary opening of doors letting all the cool air out! Our little town had a bubbler water cooler---what a treat to ride uptown to drink out of that cooler---or slurping water out of the hose.

Sitting on my rump in my grandpa's veggie garden, eating English Peas

and throwing the shell to my Fox Terrier, Dusty.

i had totally forgotten about that!! LOL!! And the playing cards we clothespinned to the spokes of

our bicycles?

Hot French fries covered with white vinegar and salt at Camp Dearborn beach -

a multi sensory experience/memory of hot sun, beach noises, children laughing, sharp vinegar smell and the very tastiest fries in the world! I've found a close second in the fries at Five Guys - sprinkled with malt vinegar, their fries are to-die-for (so are the hamburgers!) Colleen
