Cyn, I do work as an event/party planner. It comes naturally and can really help myself...
I'm avoiding making a career out of it for fear of loosing the fun. There's too many juggling pieces to go through that kind of stress for someone else. Every now and then I step my toe in the public arena and afterwards, I'm reminded why I steer clear of them!
I'm working on an event right now...and it's been DAYS trying to get all the pieces together. (I just need to book a room. Got all the players on board. One person needs to reserve it, another person from a different organization needs to cut the check. I've been working on it for a week! Everyone just skipped town for the holiday and my event is on July 14th. I've got others on my back wanting to send out press releases, etc., which I can't confidently do until the venue is secure. Ugh.)
What normally happens with ease...this event is driving me crazy!
In the meantime, I decided to have my own party this Sunday and I'm juggling stuff with that, plus this other event. Some days, I think I'm a masochist!
