We went to DD for Thanksgiving (she and new husband have bought a house) and I made these for dessert.
My other SIL wants the bread pudding for his birthday. It was very chocolatey, but not too sweet, which we all liked.
The apple pie was very time-consuming to make (and expensive), but turned out delicious. I used brandy, not whisky, because I don't like whisky. Both are definitely keepers.

Dark Chocolate Bread Pudding - Sally's Baking Addiction
This sinfully rich dark chocolate bread pudding tastes like warm fudge brownies. For the best taste and texture, use challah bread and real chocolate.
