Two new products for me from Rancho Gordo that I am having so much fun

and yummy food using. They came out with a Pineapple Vinegar last year. My first taste of it right out of the bottle left me underwhelmed. It sat in my vinegar drawer for a long time, when last week I decided to add it to a batch of black beans for a taco bowl I was making for dinner. OMG, it really upped the flavor of those beans. I tasted it again right out of the bottle and it was amazing. A slight sweetness hit my mouth, a mild acidity, and so delicious. So I have been using it in salads, and a couple of tablespoons in a big pot of soup really brightened the flavor. I am loving it.

I placed an order with Rancho Gordo last week for some bulk spices I was getting low on. I came across their Star Dust Chili powder which is basically a blend of chili, lime, Mexican Oregano, brown sugar and sea salt. I have two other Chili Lime powders I have been using, one from Penzeys and another called Tijan. But THIS one is the bomb! It is amazing, used it in my salad for lunch with evoo, and pineapple vinegar. Sprinkled it over fresh watermelon, strawberries, so far. Can't wait to try it on flank steak for fajitas, on pork chops, avocado toast!! Do delicious, and the best I have had.
