making a solution of 1 1/3 cups 3% hydrogen peroxide and 2 2/3 cups distilled water and keeping it in a spray bottle to spritz salad greens and other vegetables. Then rinse. Replace the solution every week. From what I've read about hydrogen peroxide, I would put it in an opaque bottle and store it away from light.

Since the produce is rinsed afterwards, I'm not sure why distilled water is specified, unless it is to keep the mixture from growing undesirables during the week, lol.

The article also states that distilled water and a vegetable brush (used only for produce) works well on scrubbable veggies.

 
There's a new veg spray wash on the market here. BAsically, witch hazel. Says to wash just before

using them. I bought some, but don't seem to use it much.
