Weight in, friends. Copper cleaner? Most effective, least labor intensive product recommendations?

A lot of copper, or just a little? We used to do the bottoms of

all my mom's Revere Ware pans with half a lemon & salt and it worked well, but that didn't have to cover much territory or any crevices or folds.

It's two 8qt stock pots, 3 mixing bowls and a 6qt saucepan. Tried lemon&salt as well as ketchup but

the results were marginal. I suspect I'm going to have to get a marine-metal polish but was hoping there was some kind of product y'all had used (like a dip or something similar) that was "miraculous". Hey, never hurts to ask.

Bar Keepers Friend

Hands down this is THE BEST!! Even on your most blackened pots it does the job easily and quickly with amazing results. Sometimes I have to do a pot two or three times, but once it's cleaned it's a snap to keep them clean going forward. Nothing like the twinkle and brillo routine.

Reminds me of the time I used lemon and salt to try to clean a brass bed. Not a good idea.

I made such a mess and finally had to take it apart and outside to hose off. Not one of my brightest moments.

Noxon is the best I've found Steve. I've used it to clean my

Mauviel copper based fry pan and it also works great on silver and stainless steel. I've tried those tubes made in Europe and they were useless. Sometimes it's hard to find but you can even try hardware stores (call first).

I guarantee Noxon will work great on copper Steve.

LOL. Answering Steve with this name at my own risk smileys/smile.gif --Magic Wadding.

(Nevr Dull) comes in a can at hardware stores. Basically cotton soaked with the "magic" solution. smileys/smile.gif Awesome onsilver plate, copper or any metal, no damage. You will need gloves as the black tarnish that comes off is amazing!
Good luck. smileys/smile.gif

I used to deal with old copper and we cleaned the big pots and trays

in the yard with sand (or Ajax sand like cleanser) and lemon juice and lots of "elbow grease." This is going back quite a while. Today
I would use a cleaner.
