Cyn (and Sylvia, too, I think?) contacted me and let me know that you all 'hang' here. It's like an epi reunion!

Thank you all so much for caring and asking. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate it. It's not like I've been around.

We were not spared the fire at the village, but we did escape it. That was harrowing, but atleast we had a home and jobs to escape to in Athens. Back at the village, over 55 people lost their lives (more lives were lost in other parts of Greece), hundreds lost their homes, and thousands lost their livelihoods.

We were lucky.

Actually, we're all leaving for the village again in a few minutes to go and help my in-laws clean up. It'll be traumatic to drive through the charred skeletons that remain of the forests and homes in the area.

So, thank you for caring and now that I know about this site, can I stick around?

Evelyn! I remember you.... so glad you found your way here... glad you are ok smileys/smile.gif

BTW, my moniker over at Epi was 'Jane in L.A.'... no spaces allowed here, so I dredged up a new name smileys/smile.gif

Evelyn, so nice to hear from you! Wonderful to hear that you are okay, best

wishes in the clean up, I can't possibly imagine what it must be like. Please check in again when you have time and lets us know how things are going.

Take care,
Barbara
