What’s the best way to find best rated double oven gas ranges?

If you live in an area which has locally owned repair shops, who work on large

appliances, I would start there, Maybe the place you buy your appliances? Otherwise, if you Google "best rated double gas ranges" it should come up with a few lists. Or follow Ina Garten and order the range she got from France recently. Very pricey however, but totally custom made and the unit will last a lifetime for you and then you pass it on down to the kids.
Aside from that, I have loved my Dacor double ovens and six burner cooktop.. They have been in use for 17 years now with little repairs, and are great.

 
I'm not even sure Consumer Reports is that good. I'm sure you know the drill

about gas ovens being different in baking. I am not that demanding (when I had a gas oven). There are dual gas ranges with electric ovens, I think.

 
Just curious, are you partial to gas ovens, over electric? I have only had electric ovens

but a family member has gas and I did not like working with it. They certainly cook differently, and I disliked that blast of heat everytime I opened it. It is an older oven, maybe 20 years so I am sure the newer ones are a lot different?

I have, but I have mostly had electric ovens. i think newer gas ovens have compensated for the effects, whatever they are. ;o)

 
Actually asking for chef nephew. Cost is a major factor and he's been looking at used Wolf.

Just hate to have him buy someone else"s problems. Even so, used is around 3,000.!
