cut out cookies where the dough chills, then you cutout, then chill again when on the cookie sheet.

Who, besides Ina Garten and her near empty Subzero, has room in their fridge for full size cookie sheets? I can set them on the deck in the winter, but forget it now.

Exactly what I mean by tedious. love your list...too true. And by the time I find an ingredient,

I've forgotten what I wanted it for, probably why I found two unopened bottles of chinese black vinegar when I cleaned the pantry.

Hanging meat, sausages or small animalss to air-dry. Complicated pasty bag stuff,,,

Killing lobsters. Otherwise, I'm game for just about anything.

I've always wondered about that myself. Same thing when they talk about freezing things

individually on a cooky sheet and then storing in bags. If my freezer is really empty I MIGHT be able to get a jelly roll pan in it.

Yes, I meant they bunch them up, chop off the root and sometimes quite a bit of the white along with

it. I've seen both Sara Moulton and Rachael do this.

Well, when it's hot and humid here, there's no way I can roll out warm cookie cookie dough...

I have half sheet pans, and in my old fridge, it was JUST barely wide enough to fit the pan the wide way.

I would precariously balance the sheet on top of all the food in there, juggling the stuff like bottles, so that the pan rests on the tall stuff, and crossing my fingers that it would not slip. Sometimes, I'd be stacking two yogurt containers to make a tower to rest the pan on...

Of course, no one is allowed to open the fridge while I'm doing this, else they'd risk the avalanche smileys/smile.gif

My new fridge is a smidge narrower, but deeper, so the pan fits in the other way. But still quite precarious.

Good thing rolled out cookie dough chills pretty quickly smileys/smile.gif

But there's no way anything will fit in on a sheet pan in the freezer!!! That's why I love slice and bake cookies - those rolls can slip in anywhere!
