What Christmas treats (baked or not) are you making far in advance of the holiday? Anything?

This is awesome Richard. I'm 3/4 German, so it's high time I embraced it by...

...fattening up the relatives this holiday season.

I will definitely make the poppy seed stollen on the website you linked. I LOVE poppy seed baking.

Thanks again, sir.

Before I post this, you need to know that it's a couple of days to make the cookies and dry them out, then a day to fry them and a half day to dip them. ALSO, it's a day in the making of the grape juice syrup. BUT you can make these MONTHS ahead of time. My mom used to make them in September and keep them in her "cookie vault" fridge in the garage. If you want to take a gander at this, I'll be happy to post it. It's also available in the Gail's archives from Marg in PA.
