I had never heard of these before! Now I want a whole set!!

If I don't get the 5 lbs of bacon I ordered today, I will be cooking instead of hubby grilling and will be giving it a test drive!

Spices from Penzey's from the SS (via their mother), Rosemary topiary from DD

underwear from DH. A massager thing-a-ma-bob that goes in a chair from DH (which of course I was the last to try since I was cooking and cleaning until after 3pm). Rubber mallet from DH - I asked for this one after having a hard time cutting through turkey bones at Thanksgiving.

Oh and not that I'm not thankful for it but want to guess what spices she got me - 4 kinds of peppercorns and Turkish seasoning.

Mom and dad gave me money - the best of it all - and I think I am going to get a digital SLR camera with it so I can take some decent photos of food (of course that means that I have to find my photography passion and skills that I used to have as a teenager at the very least).

A dust cover for my Kitchenaid mixer, Penzey's gift certificate, two cookbooks, double boiler,

stacking (3) cooling racks, kettle, potholders, silicone muffin, cake, loaf & bundt pans, Lindt Intense Orange bar which my sister says is to die for. That's just the kitchen stuff! Santa was very good to me. Oh, and three boxes of Skinner's Raisin Bran - which my sister had Kroger order since I can't find it anywhere anymore and it is one of the few cereals I love.

Kitchen Confidential on cd, Bakewise, the new scraper paddle for my KA

Cooked and an Omaha Steaks BIG box of goodies.

It was a nice Christmas and I hope everyone else was as blessed.

Food Saver Vacuum sealer

I have been wanting one for ages and finally, finally, I have one!

I used to use one at work and thought it was the best gadget, now I can do it at home, too...

That was the only food-related gift this year, which is fine by me, for now...

Sandra...your post reminded me and I might have missed it, what dessert did you make for that dinner

A beautiful Cuisinart Mixmaster to replace my 23 year old Sunbeam.

I'm thrilled. Haven't turned in on yet though.

Merry Christmas!

Betty

I got a chia pet!!! It is so tacky, but so cute....Puts a smile on my face when I look at it..And

can't help but say Ch-ch-ch-chia! I think next year the "Clapper" is in order!!

MCM...

A digital SLR camera is at the top of the my wish list. If you buy one, let me know which one you get and how you like it. I have been looking at a few of them, and click the link for the one that I think I want. I also love photography and can't wait to get a good camera. My Leica was stolen, and I just haven't found anything I have wanted to replace it with, since I cannot afford the Leicas anymore. Some of the food bloggers talk about their cameras and food photography. I will try and remember who it was and edit this message. Have fun!!!

Welcome to the slippery slope of ice cream obsessions...lately I've come to realize

that I relax by making ice cream bases. It's like knitting for me...so methodical. And some days, I've been known to make 4 or 5 bases in an evening! With that built in compressor, I'd curn the bases in the morning before I headed off to work...My co-workers were quite happy with quest for the perfect ice cream! smileys/wink.gif

Pat, Santa brought us this ice cream maker last year, we love it!

My son makes ice cream at least once a week, highly addictive and very very good! Wish I could eat it more often, but ice cream is one of those foods that once I start eating it, I simply don't stop. Sometimes, it is better for me not to start. It is a great machine, noisy, but makes great ice cream!

so far.... tartlet tins, stoneware? cookie press, coffee cup set, Sherry Youngward's new cd,

earring holder, pontelle sweater, Panera gift card, box of Trio bars, and DD gave me & hubby a 7-night stay at any RCI property outside of the U.S.!!!!
