What do you put on your popcorn? Thanks to my neighbor...

We air-pop popcorn almost every night and I'm embarrassed to admit ...

that for waistline purposes we spray the heck out of it with Pam butter spray and then salt with popcorn salt.

Everyone else is so sophisticated with their toppings:)

We are a POSB family.....

Plain Ol Salt and Butter, that is.

I also pop it in oil in an old heavy aluminum pot on the stove top.

We have it about once or twice a month on Movie Night.

It depends on how fast we eat it. It goes pretty fast so at the

end a little bit of it is soggy. Those are the best, they soaked up more Tabasco. Hurts so good! LOL!

Such great ideas - thanks! While reaching for the Old Bay I also grabbed my Goya Adobo powder...

with the green cap (has a bit of cumin). We did a double taste test. Drizzled with olive oil and one bowl of each kind.

Both were quite good. We both preferred the Goya, but I think it's because it was saltier and a finer powder. Next time I will grind up some Old Bay and add salt, because it was really good, too! Had a bit of a kick (about as much as I could handle).

Can't wait to try some of these other varieties - I know I shouldn't be surprised with this group, but what interesting popping is going on!

Thanks again,
Debbie

Yum! that's what I use too

I pop in oil on the stove; I have one of those popcorn pots with a handle that you turn. Then add way more butter than it can hold, a bunch of nutritional yeast and a seasoning called Spike which I am addicted to. Sometimes I add chili powder as well (powdered anchos are what I have for chili powder) which makes it taste like chili-cheese popcorn.

Delicious, and despite the butter it is very nutritious between the popcorn and the yeast.
