What is the most useless kitchen gadget you were ever tempted to buy?

I have this one, prefer a knife, but in a big time crunch, this dude comes out.

I'm probably the useless one, but a paring knife, in Thailand. It has all kinds of blades and

querks about it, and little odd twists that are supposed to help one do those beautiful carvings that the Thais are capable of.

Only thing is that you have to read directions on how to do all this fancy stuff. So it has been sitting, unused, for nearly 20 years.

I had one of those mincers, took longer to clean it than to use a knife. About the pie pan with

insert, was using it for the blind baking the original purpose? It's been so long, I've forgotten.

The one I got came with a pie someone purchased from Baker's Square. I think it was used to keep the

pie from getting soggy on the bottom. Lets it brown & dry out from underneath? I may never have used it either. I WILL try it to blind bake...
Whoops! this should have gone under the perforated pie tin.

Multi-roller Mincer

I tried this once then decided it was easier to use a knife. The knife did a bett job.

I inheritated a pie plate with little holes in it. Back when I made pies, I used it in place of beans to blind bake -- liked it better than beans.
