... but I suspect I'm one of the "most ancient" posters.

Not sure anyone remembers, but I got hammered pretty bad in the forum when I posted stuff unrelated to cooking, concerning some ski vacations I took

I stopped posting for a while after that, joined another cooking forum that was more flexible concerning what could be posted smileys/smile.gif

I now confess to having very limited time to indulge in any forum of discussions, so I pop in every few days to see what is going on, and if I feel I can contribute with something I'll post

It's amazing how some of you remember the exact year! I just know I found Gail's

around the end of 1998 or some time in 1999. And the only reason I can figure that out, is because I got my first computer around the end of 1998. And the only reason I can remember when I got my first computer, is because that's when I left NY and moved to FL!

Mine says Dec. 2005. Only eight years ago? I thought is was longer than that. I know I posted many recipes until I really had no more to post. It seems back them we use to post a lot more of them.

nope that was a major software update in 2005 that reset the user accounts

if I recall correctly the Swap on finerkitchens was begun in 2002

All the Gail's "refugees" mass migrated to FK/eat.at in December 2005.

(I shouldn't have said "All" in my post title, but "There was a mass migration" )

I remember some kind of glitch where we had to re-sign up and couldn't change our date to original
