Where to buy small bottles for baking

I am baking a black forest cake and it calls for Kirsch and Port. I hate having to buy large bottle when I need just a few tablespoons of the stuff.

What do you guys do?

I buy the small bottles so I don't have to buy a large. I just bought a

small apple brandy because I only needed a couple of tablespoons. Want me to send you something?

Oli, if you have to buy a larger bottle than you want, it keeps for years and I mean lots of years

without loosing anything. After you make your desert, look up other uses for it. Liqueurs can be used for so many things, like summer deserts, marinades French toast egg mixture, making jams, candy and more.

No body in this community or our acquaintances drink Port or Kirsch or into the style of baking I do

Where are you in Idaho? Are you close enough to a neighboring

state to make a little trip and pick up a few little bottles of different ones?

I'm in Hayden Lake area. Doesn't pay for me to drive all the way to Spokane Valley to save a few$$.

Thanks for the offer, though.

Just leave it out of the cake recipe then or as Ina Garten says (Barefood Contessa) says, "use a

strong coffee/expresso with chocolate...it enhances the chocolate."

Thanks, Charlie, I was able to get a small bottle of Port $5.99, and a large bottle of Kirsch. I

like Kirsch and since it will keep, I may make this cake at least one more time before the year is out and then there is next year. I just don't like the prices here, so when I travel south for the winter I will be stocking up on items that are harder to find.
