Wine Anxiety Disorder...entertaining article

This happens here too...if champagne comes to my dinners..

I bring out the flutes and let DH (or the guest) do the champagne, most everyone loves champagne but one glass makes me feel very nauseaus.
I can only drink most champers with OJ.
Best for brekkie or brunch, one bottle chilled champagne to one litre (or less)chilled fresh orange juice and plenty of ice, given a chance I'd finish off more than half with no ill effects....
Funny, Crystal Champagne never has any adverse effect on me!
I wonder if this red wine and champagne thing are like this nowadays, getting back at me, cause I drank them so much when I was younger...spent many years in or near a wine growning area and like the French was brought up from a young age on red wine and champers, sherry and beer shandys!

Marg, Ouch!

I would have said something. Especially with the recipient knowing what it meant. A simple, "we brought this to share with you" would have done the trick.

Are you still friends???

Still friends. And we should have prefaced the special gift with that comment. But

who would have thunk....especially when he knew the history of the bottle.

I think wildwoods was having fun, cuz of the little winky face at the end of the line. smileys/smile.gif

Time for one of those gifty wine bags, with a huge bow on it...

but maybe some hosts wouldn't even know how to accept that.

How clueless!
