I was pleased as punch to have lowered my cholesterol, after having quit taking the nasty statins.

I got better results with OTC supplements after only 3 weeks on them.

 
Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans. Small amounts of chicken and fish. I

Yogurt, skim milk and Promise Light Spread. I'm pretty strict with myself at home and only eat half of what's served when we go out.
It works for me.
