You ok out there Randi. Just heard wind gusts of 85 mph on the Oregon coast!

San Francisco Bay Area update

Friday over 500,000 without power,
I'm still without power in Sausalito (over 24 hours)
San Francisco and southern Marin have numerous fallen trees, fallen limbs, tree debris and other debris still on roads, off and on ramps.
Very high tides added to rainfall caused local flooding.
I had to put my husband in the hospital since his medical equipment back up batteries began to fall after 15 hours without power.
Stores and restaurants also without power so no chance of getting cooked meals for those who are all electric.
Phones and water and gas heater were working, though.
Paramedics told me ALL Sausalito residents were burning candles and the fire dept were worried about fires.
Better today, but still light rain and winds and general gloom.

After hearing what was going on at home, Gene came home just in time

to find the tree guys leaving. Trees were off the roof, and they clearing a path so I could get my car out. We are all fine although Gene had a wild ride home from San Francisco.

Saulsalito residents burning candles? I can't believe in this day and age someone would still do it

There are so many neat lanterns now run by batteries and actually have remotes. Also years ago I bought some large round cans that have candles inside. They come with matches inside the can. These candles burn down into the can, so there is no danger of wax over run.

Hi Darice...

I hope things are better in your part of the world. Hubby is okay? I hope you have power soon! Keep us updated on how you are doing.

Power was only off 26 hours, but hubby still in hospital (more)

once they get you in, it's hard to get out(LOL)
I was online at work when I posted.
Thanks for the kind thoughts!!!!
