A food I hate that no one else seems to...

Joe, Joe, Joe! where are your presentation skills? serve on a bed of grape leaves..... ROTF

From a trip to China. We werer eating a stir-fry dish that had the kinda milky, clear crunchy,

strangely shaped "things" in it. I asked our guide and he said they were ligaments.
At this point more than several people stopped enjoying the meal...
Yak butter tea has two forms, a buttery, overly- salty tea and one that is sweet instead of salty. Acquired taste for sure. Not nasty but not so wonderful either. Also acquired taste, but very popular, special treat amongst Tibetans.

I despised olives until I was 30...

then I went on a trip to Italy and I found out what an olive is supposed to taste like! Now I like most olives, even if they're never quite as good as the ones I had in Rome.

That's too funny. There must be something in the water in Philadelphia....(more)....

because I spent my early childhood there,
and I used to do the same kind of thing
with my tuna salad sandwiches (yuck!).

Duck. I made duck once when I was pregnant with my first child and

the smell and the taste just revolted me -- and I used to love ordering duck in restaurants. Ever since then I can't stand it.
