breasts (don't ask me why, but everyone ate the dark meat that time) and I thawed both of them - again, don't ask me why I thawed BOTH of them!) 2 days ago. We've eaten what we want of them and tonight I made white turkey chili. Can I freeze the cooked turkey chili (turkey has been cooked twice now). I know I can freeze it safely, but can I eat it after I thaw it again - teehee ;o)

It smells fine, but I'm worried about the refreezing. As long as I cook it thoroughly again when I thaw the chili, will it be ok? I don't care about texture, just safety.

By the way, the recipe for the chili was roasted garlic alfredo sauce, leftover vegetables, pinto beans, and a few sauteed peppers and mushrooms. Cooked until bubbly, then served over basmati rice. Very good and easy.

Yes, you can. Y0u have re-cooked the turkey and may now re-freeze. . .

The repeated freezing may affect the turkey's texture, but it is still edible. I would do it.

You didn't leave the turkey chili out for 10 hours at room temp did you? smileys/smile.gif

I make spaghetti sauce all of the time from burger that was raw then frozen then cooked into sauce and then frozen again. Or the burger was frozen, then browned and cooked for tacos, then I froze it again and then threw it into a batch of sauce. It's all good.
