Her, actually...
he just would not come close enough. I got them to land on my footstool. Then put my legs onto it, then leaned over and put my hand on the footstool about 1 foot away.
Then I just got closer each day and eventually, with patience, she just hopped down and took it out of my fingers. She was easily identifiable as well as she had only one eye. That meant that when she was to jump down, I had to put the peanut where it would allow her to still see me.
But shortly after, they both disappeared...and they had been around for 2 years.
I used to have blue jays swoop down and take sunflower seeds from between my fingers. They sure have phenomenal sight.
