Do you ever find yourself saying "I'm going to make this some day"? For some

I do, I do...jumping around and waving like mad...I have made really wonderful...

sticky toffee puds and eaten some too but none matched the one we had last year while on a road trip...Now I went back to the same area this past holiday to find this wayside pub and couldn't remember just exactly where it was ( and I prize myself on sense of direction) I really want to match this sticky toffee pud we had there....Let's see if your recipe comes up to it....can't wait to try.

I have this huge smile on my face, picturing you jumping up and down! Thank you for that, joanie.

I'll be out tonight, but should be able to post it either tomorrow or Saturday.

The recipe is from the Snooty Fox Inn, somewhere near the Cheddar Gorge area. Our bus was lost twice that day, so the tour coordinator treated us to lots and lots of wine with dinner. And since lots and lots of wine was drunk, opinions on the STP may be somewhat embellished. I do remember Anne was ecstatic to get the recipe from the chef.

LOL Richard, I just posted to you down below somewhere asking about this trip. Thought you had

gone already and would love to hear about what you made. So you are still looking forward to the trip and still in the planning stages. I wish I could sit quietly on a stool and just observe.

All over indeed...

I was born in Panama, raised in Mexico, then moved to the US for many years, then London for another many years, and now Melbourne for a few months and Sydney...for now!!

My father was from Argentina and my mother is from Uruguay, my sister is Mexican - While were in Mexico we also spent short terms in Puerto Rico, Argentina and Brazil...

My husband is American and our doggie is English. I think at some point we'll have to get an Australian doggie to complete the set!

Oh and for many years while in the US, I used to spend 3 months of the year (summers) in Bermuda...

No, it's in German.

I can't believe someone hasn't translated it for the English market. It's a stunning book. I have so many cookbooks that it takes a very exceptional cookbook to really grab me the way this one has. The pictures alone are worth the price of the book.
