Favorite "alternate use" for a kitchen tool?

Not nearly long enough in my book . Starting in March, I will be moving

up and down the stairs, in the snowy driveway, parking lots, etc. at the pace of a mud turtle.
I always threaten my kids that I am going to wrap them up in bubble wrap like that commercial. Secretly, I want it to be me. I have no problem with that fashion look. So what, it adds ten pounds of air to you, big deal, at least the kids will want to play with you. Pop, pop, pop!

I thought broom handles were for knocking on the ceiling to get the person upstairs to come down to

answer the phone.

She's on cloud nine smileys/smile.gif Yes, Ang - I don't live anywhere near... how about Steve2 and Joe??

Wait, so do you really suck the air out, with the straw?

I have visions of sucking out raw meat juices - eeewwww!

And Joe, no comments from you, mister!!

Do we have a section for most hilarious, innuendo'd posts? I think this thread belongs there!

I'm just having too much fun with this thread.

See what you started, Joe??

Yeah - it works great! And my sucker isn't so strong as to pull meat juices! I mean like...

cookies, breads - stuff like that. You can't 'squish' the air out of the bags, so I mostly zip it closed, put the straw in the little opening left, and suck! Then quick zip it closed. Forms the ziploc right around the contents.

And no.... I don't have a video of it.

I'm with you Sandi!

When my guy got home yesterday I tried to read the original post from Jean and I just couldn't get through it. I couldn't stop laughing. I finally handed the puter to him and said "oh just read it". Is this our school yard humor coming out? LOL

I will mine just about any source...

including my kitchen tools, for pottery making.

Wire cheese slicers become facet tools
citrus zester is a texture maker
rolling pins make slabs
cookie cutters are used to make ornaments or magnets
turkey basters are used to apply glaze

etc, etc etc....
