Freezing Asparagus Pesto?

Could you freeze an asparagus pesto in an ice cube tray for later use? Would the texture be okay?
 
What is the recipe? If using fresh asparagus are you blanching it? I'll go our on a limb and think it may get watery and don't know whether it could be re-emulsified very well with the olive oil.

Charley, thanks. Yes it would be blanched, but I still felt that the texture would be off.
