Had a very successful little tea today... here's what I made:

Weel, They said to rinse the saurkraut. I was young & naive so I thought...

rinsing it would work. Guess what? You can't ever get rid of the pickled taste. I was desperate for cookies as I had been on the diet for months. You had fewer choices then.

 
that's the recipe. I made just half the recipe, and used 1/2 cup splenda

I made a double batch of the regular recipe for cookies for the other bookclub members. I wanted just a few of them to be sugar free, so I cut the recipe in half for just those. We thought they tasted good. they were a bit more delicate than the regular batch.
