Hi All! I am signing in from Juneau, AK. My amazing vacation is coming to a quick close....

Barbara, thanks for sharing your vacation stories and thanks to the posters who ...

added to the tale. This is the closest I'll ever get to Alaska, and it was a treat to readallaboutit!

Mimi, I have a rose called Winnipeg Parks that came back and is not a shrub rose. Hardy and

I recommend it. Most other roses do not do well without lots of fuss and bother up here, which I do not like.

Joe. you would cringe at how I started. One plant of each---so bare looking. But I couldn't afford

to buy 5 of each for clumps, so I bought just one and figured if I was patient, they would spread and I would divide and concquer the space. I still have some bare spots and more plants to divide, so I'm getting there. What shall I do when the space is all filled??

Beautiful Ang, how long ago did you start garden? I'm curious how long it took to fill in so nicely

I wouldn't cringe at all. I used to have to produce instant results, so I used lots of annuals and

fast-growing perrenniels. But the best gardens evolve over time and reflect the personality of the owner.

Wow, really pretty, Ang. You must;ve laughed when you received my...

dinky little sprigs of dill! I tried to pick some nice ones with the roots on them, but looking at your beautful garden, they will get lost in among all those flowers.

I'll see if I can send you some heads, now that they are coming along nicely. I think they winter over, not sure if they would in Alaska, though.

I've found a special protected spot for your dill. I hope it does well. Will send some poppy seeds
