I need someone who can do the math (again) for me please.

Not so, honey- I mixed up some shortbread (forgetting that it has to be ROLLED out)

Same recipe I've used forever. It's stuck all over the marble pastry board. I took the other half and stuck it in the freezer. I'm done smileys/smile.gif

I'm a member of the club, I backed out of the garage into the side of my dh's car...twice. The first

time he laughed and said it could have been worse. He wasn't quite so amused the second time. Thank goodness, we no longer live in that house.

Did it damage the car? I've always wondered why there isn't another sensor higher so it would

detect a car under it. I know the idea is to keep the door from closing on a child, but the ones on our doors are so low that unless the car wheel is directly in front of it, it doesn't detect a car.

Exactly what happened. I just glanced at the car and just saw some scrapes. I was too upset about

door. When I went into the basement garage the wind was coming through the cracks and it sounded like I had hit a hive of bees.
Two and a half weeks to get a new door. Let's hope it doesn't go below zero again!

Cyn, what about covering the inside with heavy-duty plastic?

You buy it in rolls from Lowes/Home Depot. They are usually 10 or 20 feet wide and as long as you want. It's much wider than the standard plastic for windows up north.

Maybe it's because we're in Hurrican Alley that it's so common here. But if you want some and your area doesn't carry it, I could mail some out tomorrow.

You're such a sweetheart! DH had some and used that with duct tape. He could probably

reattach a limb if you gave him enough duct tape smileys/smile.gif

The dinner I have planned is chicken on the rotisserie (another roller) I can almost hear the

fire trucks coming smileys/wink.gif

what kind of winds are you getting hit with? Marilyn is right, cocktail time! I know that

after a couple of days of winds howling around the house, it can really set your nerves on end. sending you hugs and warm, snuggy thoughts.....

Marilyn, is that a Florida thing?

Because I actually saw someone do this when I was dropping off my rental car at Miami airport. Wasn't you was it? LOL

Everyone just stood and laughed at the pour old soul.

I am laughing at this screen. Marilyn, you are a riot.Iwill stick with you, if you want to make it

a Florida "thing." No need to carry the heavy load all alone!!!!
