add. delete. but still just stare at it. I did bake some old family recipe peppermint cookies and left half of them in the oven a bit too long. just can't get into the swing of things. I'll try some more baking tonight. the old standby reeses cup mini tartlet cups. easy peasy and maybe it will jumpstart my mojo.

Me too. I keep telling myself if I could just get a recipe of dough in the fridge

For the next several nights I could bake this weekend. I'm making banket bars that were a winner in the MJS cookie contest this year right now. My problem is the old job had 20 or 25 people. There are only 4 of us where I am now. Nobody to eat it all...

I'm not doing sprinkles. I'm going to see how they are "naked" first.

It's just hard to get going sometimes, especially when it's such a busy time of year like this.

Okay, for almond paste lovers these are really yummy

Ooey Gooey chewy almondy goodness.

I think they would be nice brushed with just a bit of egg white & sprinkled with sliced almonds & a little sugar before baking. I didn't do the glaze or sugar on top.

Me three. I've done nothing. Today I took butter out of the freezer-the end.

I've convinced myself that if I just make the cutout sugar cookies I can mail them to the nephews with some tubs of homemade icing/some sprinkles and call it an art project for them to do. Icing/decorating sugar cookie alone is no fun and I've been doing it awhile now.

Also, normally I send mom cookies and now she doesn't eat. Plus, the rest of them are trying to be no sugar vegetarian/vegans. So, I'm kinda stuck for ideas.

Moi aussi. I've had one dinner, put lights up on the balcony & on my door. The end. I made

one batch of tooth-jangling Christmas bits and that's it.

What is going on?

Bah Humbug !!!

Me too! But I'm ok with it. It's just my husband & I at home. My son & his family are 3 hrs. drive away & my daughter lives in NYC and won't be coming home for Christmas. I did baking & cooking for 2 big family events and made my panettone for gift giving but haven't made one cookie yet! I must make a pecan pie for my brother's birthday (my baby brother!!!).. Next week I'll make butterballs & cutouts for my grandchildren but that's it for this year. I feel quilty but I'm pooped! And besides I try to justify by knowing that husband & I don't need the temptation!!!

The sweet butter is out so let's see how far I get today. Planning on two batches of shortbread and

dough for Lingonberry Sandwich Cookies.

What about chopping up Ghirardelli's Peppermint Bark (out at this time of the year)

It's white and red...unless you get the dark chocolate and then it's white/dark chocolate.
