I was just wondering what really wonderful foods come from you r areas. New Jersey is much maligned,

Inundated by visiting in-laws who reminded me of Tenderloins.

They are huge chunks of pork that are pounded thin, battered and deep fried and then served on the tiniest of buns. When done right these are major TDF.

Charlie, I love Taylor Pork Roll!

I grew up on it, but I have never had it with eggs.
We slice it, fry it up and slap it into a sandwich, either white bread or a burger bun, with plenty ketchup.
Every time I go back to NJ, I have to buy a couple of pork rolls to tide me over till the next trip. The shopping expedition usually also includes getting some scrapple.

Here in Mass., we have cranberries, beach plums, Ipswich clams...and the Harpoon Brewery. I love Harpoon IPA.
