Is there one of those foods that you just can't keep in the house? For me, it is meatloaf.

Absolutely cannot keep macaroni and cheese around. Eating M&C is great for my soul!!, but not my

waistline. smileys/wink.gif Pure comfort food indulgence for me.

I'm right there with the two of you. Homemade bread is my passion and my downfall.

Hummus and celery

They have become one of my favorite lunches and I will also snack on it between meals.

If I have the energy, I make the hummus, otherwise, Sabra brand is very good.

bread

in my house for some reason bread disappears almost the instant it crosses the threshold. It's scary how the kids just devour bread and pretty indiscriminately. The swarms of locusts have nothing on them for sure.
For me personally my latest thing is brie cheese. And in particular that from the Marin Cheese Company. (which I'm eating now...) My wife is worried.

Stuffed cabbage rolls, they type with sauerkraut in the layers

I only make it once a year, because after eating it for dinner, the next day I have to have it for breakfast lunch and then dinner again. Love it!

I have some homemade chocolate-covered coconut macaroons in my refrigerator right now -

very dangerous!

Alton Brown's recipe (Paradise Macaroons) is my all-time favorite. Many people agree...

...with me.

One of my son's teachers got a plate from us last year (2009) that included them. She was so happy to see another plate this Christmas, with extra macaroons, since she liked them so much last year.

My nephew in San Diego waits for these anxiously. They're his favorite.

Even macaroon haters love that recipe.

Oh yeah, Atlanta Bread's sourdough bread with slightly salted Danish Lurpak butter. I could

eat the whole loaf!
