Pat, are you inserting the "address" text? If so, that's the problem
That's the address bar at the top of your monitor. If you are, then you're hyperlinking to the entire Photobucket website--but you really only want your cat's photo. Adorable, by the way!
Click directly on the photo. Either below or to the right will be four different text boxes with options for linking to that particular photo.
1. The hyperlink text in "Share URL" reduces the size of the image to make the file smaller and quicker to send in emails. I never use this one.
2. Select the text in "Direct Link" and paste it in the FK box below your post called "Link URL" and a LINK will show up next to your post here. Selecting the LINK will open directly to the photo at Photobucket.
3. The hyperlink in the HTML code box is meant to be pasted INSIDE this Message box (see over on the left where it says "HTML is allowed"). If you paste that Photobucket text here, your photo will show up INSIDE your post embedded with the text.
4. The hyperlink for IMG code goes in the Image URL box below. Sandy also found out that you can put another Link URL in that field as well, but it will still say IMAGE.
Hope this helps. Give it a try. You can just edit your original post.
