My freezer always seems so full...what is in yours? I have at last taken......

the huge bag of Main lobster shells out to add to the LARGE local lobster we had last night.

I made thermidor (with a side of fried breadfruit, spring onions and arugula from the garden..love saying 'from the garden')

And today I am boilingn up a stock to make lobster bisque....which I guess will be returned to the freezer until the right moment arrives to make the soup.

So my freezer is still over loaded!!!

Always leftover chicken-something, a couple of baked pie crusts,

always bags of vegetables, forgotten when the fresh ones become local, and a package of pecan swirlies, probably from the 90's. ;o)

Me too- hubby fusses. I seem to use down & then it's full again

I don't know how it keeps happening. Mom brought me some butterbeans when they came up yesterday and I barely found room for them. I'm trying to decide what to fix that will use some of it up.

Not much. Chicken stock that never gets used because I forget to thaw it and used boxed stuff, a

zucchini loaf, an unbaked peach cake, some sardines, a few containers of leftover soup and puttanesca sauce. Sausages, always sausages. The canister for the ice-cream maker. Nuts. Suet. Sesame seeds. One-cup containers of buttermilk.

Went to the new TJ's today and at the check out the guy told me

I won for having the most filled up cart for him today. Didn't tell him that once I find all the new stuff they have, I'll need 2 carts.
So the freezer is stuffed. Good thing I didn't get everything I had planned on.
So I have pork tenderloin, chicken, smoked salmon, marinated wild white salmon, ravioli, tortellini, large uncooked shrimp, loaf of bread, gr round, leftover steak, cooked chicken, black bean soup, pasta salad niciose, buns, fro veggies, piroskis, tortillas, chicken in gorgonzola sauce, leftover chipolte meatloaf, brisket, bbq boneless ribs, pork chops, stew meat and a bunch of surprises!

I have a chicken shelf, beef shelf and fish shelf. Top shelf is for

frozen berries, stocks, applesauce, jams. I just made more applesauce today and had extra room on the chicken shelf. I put breads like baguette on the door shelves, along with nuts, chocolate bits, etc.

Shaun, I usually defrost my chicken stock in the microwave....works fast

Except for their brined turkey, I rarely buy TJ meats. I do buy their coffee, cheese, greek yogurt >

frozen pie dough, cookies and wine. Otherwise, nothing.

You would be right at home with my freezer Karen. With the exception

of berries, veggies, bacon, sausage, nuts in the door. Organization rules my life. I'm thinking maybe you too?

I also have shelves 1 - cooked things right now holding 2 portions NLB chicken casserole, serveral .

small containers chicken broth, 2 chicken soup, tomato sauce, beef stew, roasted garlic and some cake crumbs, cooked diced chicken.
shelf 2- uncooked stuff - pkg. fish (for cat),
1 kilo chopped and seasoned lamb for kebobs,
1 lb. chopped beef, 1 kilo meat for stew,
lots of individual chicken schnitzel packages.
shelf 3 - frozen stuff - 3 packages of edame (I
keep buying and forgetting to use), frozen peas, corn, string beans. Lit bit of frozen shrimp left. Ice pops for the grandkids.
Shelf 4 - cakes,etc. Now has 1 pkg. tortillas,
1 round chocolate cake, 1 small cake from a friend - dried fruits, etc to die for. Some spices from Central Market that someone sent me.
The freezer keeps them so fresh. Cheeses - parmesan.
Door - top shelf - coffees - all kinds.
Next - cheeses - parmesan,cheddar, pine nuts,
walnuts, pecans, almonds.
Bottom - couple jars - think they will have to go - tomato sauce, harissas that people make for my husband who loves hot but can't eat as much as they make him!!

Good to have done this - will help me plan shopping and cooking for the upcoming holiday week.

Steve, my sis tried the pie dough and was very disappointed compared to homemade...

she said it was VERY bland (definitely needed salt) and a little too crumbly. What do you mainly use yours for?

I use the dough for all my pastry needs. Everyone has their opinion about what's "good" but I think

TJ's product is perfectly salted and the visible chunks of butter in the dough result in a light and flaky crust. To my taste, the other pre-made doughs I've tried are entirely TOO salty, which is why I didn't use them.

TJ's was JUST the thing I was looking for.

Yes Orchid, organization rules my life. Without it, I'm a mess

I function very well with organization and can't figure out why some folks don't get it.
