My Saturday Six (chop, chop - it's almost Sunday!)

LOL, I always take my walking stick aka bear killing stick. what a joke, but it gives me some

sense of safety.

squeezing in my weekend six

sometimes I really don't like this midnight sun stuff---people party till all hours of the morning(3:40 to be exact) and 2 calls to the police=no help. grrrr

my dog had her first swim lesson/dunk in lake. success! her Lab papa would be proud.

rhubarb is looking grand this year. it's a transplant from my Mom's garden in Indiana.

4-wheeling(slowly) around the block with the dog sitting behind me is such a delight. It makes people smile when they see us.

Moose social hour is between 7-8 pm in the neighborhood.

finishing the Glass Castle audio version---talk about a tough read/but can't put down either. it's our June bookclub book.

I agree with you -- the time is now. I couldn't convince my friends who thought it was much earlier

The 40's and 50's would make a a more believable movie, though, as Margaret was so different from young women of her age if it were set in the present. Yes! Judy Dench! What about Dig? Russell Crowe? Bruce Willis for Charlie? (he'd need red hair)

It's like Deer Happy Hour in CO, they ALL come out to hang out and visit

on the highway of course, it's very cool to see them and nervewracking to drive!

or that magic hour when the elk come down to feed. anyway, we were at the cabin

and hadn't seen any moose around during the day. We thought we didn't have any mama's with little ones, but we were wrong! at 7 on the dot, I spied a mama and calf just 3 lots over as I was taking my dog for her evening ride on the ATV. then we saw 3 more around the neighborhood. moose mamas can get very angry, so we try to watch carefully for them and give them a wide berth.

I remember driving in Arizona with all the warning signs, all I could focus on was the skidmarks on

the highway!. Totally nerve wracking!
