My Whole Foods offers many prepared options containing beans. Said beans are most always

greed?

although i've noticed that some items at Giant are cheaper at the salad bar (broccoli trimmed to the floret and baby corn to name 2).

so i buy 'em from the salad bar.

problem is that getting salt right for everybody is plum impossible...

i'll eat a lot of things without any salt, and i swear (almost) that my sister salts her anchovies.

rvb, it's not just the salt. I know how you must season for most tastes, but IMHO they miss the

mark on most things.

You're right about the Farmer's Market, Marsha. There is a Wild Oats...

in Tampa, across the bay on Dale Mabry. Of course it has been bought out by Whole Foods. There is a Whole Foods in Sarasota where I work and there are several Fresh Markets around Tampa Bay. Closest to you, Marsha, is on US 19 in Clearwater. I still have to get to Rollin Oats.

Thanks for the article, very interesting. I do know that I can often detect a fishy taste in

products that are cooked in canola oil. One that comes to mind is the Cape Cod 40% lower fat potato chips. They're so tasty, but ever so often, I get a bag that has a slight fishy taste. I first noted it right after they switched to canola oil and I'm pretty sure that's what it is as I've read on line that others are sensitive to that fishy taste. I wonder if it means the oil is over the hill, I've not noticed it here at home.

I'm looking forward to the Fresh Market, should be interesting, I've never been in one.
