Well - on the subject - ISO a different Russian Tea Cake
when we were in Cleveland years ago we ate at a little Russian bakery somewhere on the walk to the Convention Center - seems like it was on the side street to the Sheraton (?) hotel that is close to the convention center. My husband fell in love with a Russian Tea Cake but it is not like this one at all. Instead I would say it is more akin to a large rugalach - filled with nuts and a fruit mixture. Are any of you familiar with this? I've never been able to find a recipe and I had a hard time trying to communicate it to the folks that run the one Russian store here.
