Please share your Thanksgiving menus -

works out nice that way... but I do put a lot of effort into my turkey over a period of

several days. And most likely there will be several other dishes that show up along with some good wine.

Aww, wish I woulda known, I'd have aimed the tr

I hope CB is improving!

I also was looking forward to seeing your menu.

I finally figured out how to make them so they weren't too watery.

The turnips were an annual Thanksgiving dish in my DH's family, so I didn't start making them until I met him. His mom cubed them and cooked as you would potatoes. This method didn't ever work quite right for me.

This year, I roasted them in the oven - whole and wrapped in foil as a potato. I ran them through the ricer, added butter and cream and a pinch of salt, and mashed with a fork. Heavenly!

Michael, did you follow a particular recipe for the Sourdough fresh herb dressing with mushrooms

and pecans? It sounds great, as does the rest of your menu. Haven't made the angel biscuits in years but gosh, they're so darned good --- must revisit those.

Oh, ok, I have had that--my aunt makes it. smileys/smile.gif And I would put French's onions on anything!
