That sounds like a good idea to me- there are too many recipes that are personal favs.
How about making a rule that states: Recipes featured in favourites must be posted......
by someone other than the original poster. This would eliminate having people post their own personal favourite recipes. I must admit this is something I've done. Mea Culpa!
A person posting in the favourites must cite the location number of the recipe and give credit to the original poster.

May I suggest that it needs to be short...succinct. So people don't skim by it? Something like

who are we? "swappers" ?? Members?
It may sound a bit overly 'bossy', but really, I think this is the best way to give directions when all else has failed.
And I also believe that 2 or more should recommend to this list. I think this means it represents some cross-section of us rather than the poster and someone else who thought it meritted.

Sylvia, I like your suggestion as to providing the location. This adds to the value,...
...since if you have interest in the recipe you can go to the archives where it is mentioned and read any follow-up posts, tweaks, etc.

I agree with Joe that the title should somehow indicate that its a Swappers' Hall of Fame.
If this section is only for recipes that other group members think merit listing, then maybe, as Sylvia suggests, they should be limited to listing by members other than the original poster.

Whatever we do, let's not make this too complicated.
When looking through the "favourites" I think that someone must have considered the recipe to have "wow" factor in order to have posted it there. However, it is still possible that someone's WOW can be someone else's BLECH.

Denice, you are not alone...
I have posted three recipes in favorites - two of which were very well received by other members on the old Gails, and one of which I have made repeatedly, often followed by requests for the recipe. Live and learn!
