Sylvia's T & T & highly recommended Julia Child’s Gigot a la Moutarde Herbal Mustard Coating for Roast lamb that was also highly recommended by two others.

Thank you Sylvia for a most wonderful and delicious Easter leg-o-lamb!! I cooked a whole, bone-in leg of lamb on sale and I'm very happy and can't wait for the leftovers!

The lamb was moist, slightly rare (as I like it), and MOST flavorful - nothing overdone but a good basic marinade.

Thanks Sylvia for a big winner with me!!

Don't throw those lamb bones away, make split pea soup, just as

good made with the lamb bone and scraps as the ham bone, in my opinion. A friend taught me this a long time ago. I have just put the lamb bone in the freezer for later and will use yesterday's ham bone for the first batch.

Absolutely. I throw the whole bone into a pot of water with lots of dill & lots of finely chopped

raw mushrooms. Makes a really good soup, and couldn't be easier.

Usually the dog gets the bone ....

but our poor lad is getting too old to knaw...so I get the bone for soup without feeling guilty.

You're welcome! I'm envious -

I wanted lamb for Easter dinner, but I let DH choose and so we had ham.

I'm thinking of doing a leg-o-lamb this coming weekend, with the Mint Salsa Verde.
