Does it just disappear, so that if you view it in your "sent" mail, the message that you supposedly sent is blank?

Or what?

Lin, I couldn't send a reply, but I copied and pasted it and saved it to Wordpad before sending, so

here it is:

(Regarding finding the Dagoba):
"My pleasure! I just came back from my local health food store and they have a whole line of Dagoba. Have never tried this brand before, so I bought the one with the chiles to check out. I've also never tried any "spicy" chocolate bars - have always stuck to plain dark ones, (especially those with coffee notes), so I'm not sure how my tastebuds are going to react, but I'm always willing to experiment!

Happy chocolate eating!"

Phooey, sorry, hadn't read your post. Just tried sending to MariaD

with your exact instructions and it didn't go through. smileys/frown.gif

I hope you like it...it's subtle, but has a nice kick after awhile. I love spicy things, though...

Wow, a whole line of them? You're lucky. I'll check at a health food store near me. I may get the chilli cocoa powder too...I haven't found a good recipe for that, yet, but it should be fairly easy.

Again, hope you enjoy it...please let me know what you think!

Hey Lin, I like spicy stuff too, but never tried it in chocolate! I'll definitely let you know after

I give it a taste. And then, I have all the rest of their line to check out! They usually sell for about $2.69 a bar here, but today they were on sale for $2.29. Overall, it's pretty expensive, considering the bars are only 2 oz - even Valrhona is about $3.50-$3.99 for a 3 1/2 oz bar (not that I like Valrhona - actually I don't - I dislike all the dark Valrhona chocolates I've tried - I only like their milk chocolate). But if they're good, it's worth the price. And of course, needless to say, as with everything else, it's all subjective.

By the way, I haven't had a chance to try Fran's chocolates - I found them at a small place around here, so I'll have to give them a try also.

I'll bet you'll be able to find the Dagoba at your local health food store - better than ordering them and paying shipping prices, etc.

Fran's bars are pricey too...on sale today for $2.39 at the grocery store....

and that was for a dark chocolate Almond Gold Bar that also has caramel in it and weighs 1.6 oz! So the Dagoba's on sale at shopnatural seems reasonable! But the shipping price for the 12 pack of bars and the cocoa was $10.00, so I'm going to look around here, and I should be able to figure out how to make the cocoa myself, I think.

I was doubtful about the chocolate/chili combo myself but it was wonderful! I don't like Valrhona, for eating, either and I'm not a fan of milk chocolate. I like T.J.'s belgium dark chocolates in the 3 pack bars, for just the occasional chocolate fix.

I don't like most milk chocolate either, but the Valrhona is a very dark

milk chocolate, something like 40% cacao, so I really like it. It's got a great taste and ultra creamy texture.

Yeah, the price is what has stopped me from trying Fran's in the past, but eventually I'll break down.

We don't have a Trader Joes here yet, but I've heard it should be opening up in about a year. I hope it's not just a rumor. I LOVE Trader Joes, and went there a lot when I lived in NY.

Man, now I'm in the mood for chocolate! I haven't had dinner yet, so I really should wait, shouldn't I? On the other hand, chocolate before dinner is just as good as chocolate after dinner, isn't it? smileys/smile.gif

Absolutely...and since life is uncertain, it's best to eat chocolate first, and...

eating a small amount of chocolate before dinner keeps you from over-eating at dinner. Chocolate really is the ideal food!

I hope you do get TJ's soon...they seem to be expanding more often these days.
