The roasted chicken in milk above has me asking, how do you deal with picky eaters?

Someone once described picy eaters as having control issues, meaning

it's a psychological issue, not a taste related one.

I don't have any patience for adults who are picky eaters either.
I do have a food allergy myself, and I totally respect people with allergies or people who avoid certain ingredients because of their religion or ideology, but when adults start commenting on my food - loudly - around the table, like "PEAS in the stew? I cannot eat peas or anything it has touched because they are icky" then I'm done.
And yes, the pea story is true.
Needless to say, the person hasn't been invited back.

I hate peas, but is you served me a dish with them, you'd never know it....

until the table was cleared and there were a little pile of them in the corner of my dish. smileys/wink.gif

OMG, Marilyn, I read that same story in Reader's Digest, and it really stuck with me

It always reminds me that good manners don't always follow the Miss Manners protocol. smileys/smile.gif
