Paris recommendations...

Just got my City Navigator cd of Europe for my GPS

and I changed the voice to a frenchman. He does have a hard time pronouncing the street I work on...Tamiami Trail!

this reminds me of the movie "A Good Year" with Russell Crowe. He has quite a time with the GPS

French speaking lady.

Carnavalet! Wonderful fascinating museum

I could have spent the day here. The gorgeous period rooms, Paris from the Ice Age on, beautiful art deco pieces, the Revolution. I could go on and on. Don't miss it!

Just thought of sumpting. There is always a huge international food conference in May, usually

around the 23rd, at Porte Champerret in the 17th. And I don't think you have to be a pro to attend.

I drove down the Champs and completely circumnavigated

the Arc just to say I'd done it. What a hair-raising drive that was! Talk about traffic "patterns"! I'd call it traffic chaos.

whoa!

Richard, respect! I can't believe you did that! It would have to be one of the most challenging driving experiences on the planet. I think that only Milan, or maybe Naples, could rival that. My hat is off to you. A most hearty cheers (and greetings to the canine contingent), Bonnie

It's madness...

I just thought it would be one of those things that I'd always be glad I'd done. Friends in the car snapped a pic as I was twirling around the etoile. You can see one of the sculpture groups on the arc out my car window.

And I'm laughing hysterically.

Hounds say woof back. BTW, we had some exciting news last month. My youngest dog Loki's sister won the Wire-Haired Dachshund group at Westminster Dog Show and was in the Hound Group finals (where the eventual grand champion came from). We're quite proud of our little boy, basking in glorious default proximity. LOL

Ain't that a blast?! That was my first 5 minutes of driving in Paris. I got into that mess and

thought, I may get to know this region very intimately by driving around and around forever, never able to get out. I remember that so vividly.

Nope, in fact, it was very straightforward. Just go with the flow; you watch out for them, they watch out for you. Drivers here would refuse to allow anyone any leeway.
