about whom you are talking!.....I saw Emeril and Jaques....quite fun to watch.

Then Dinner Impossible...a lot of them, I dozed through them and did not take them in fully but they seem quite interesting.......I've had to pull together some meals in strange places/strange kitchens but never for so many mouths (max has been 22)and never in cold.......

I did see a flash ad for Miss Ray....so I will watch her asap!!!! Any others that I should look out for?

I so would like the English cooking channel here, there are excellent programs there.

Ray--Oh puhleeze! although FoodTV is a dreary shadow of its former self, it does not deserve Ray!

You should watch "Semi-Homemade" at least once, to witness the horror of it.......

I love "Good Eats" with Alton Brown, and Michael Chiarello's good.

As for Rachel Ray, Iron Chef, Dinner Impossible, and all those shows with the clock ticking, what's the big hurry?!! It's only dinner. I wish they'd relax--they make me nervous.

I don't think Lidia is on the FN, Nigella is good and wouldn't make anyone nervous, at least Rachael

makes real food and is fun to watch. Check out Sara Moulton, I think it's called Sara's Secrets. She's with Gourmet Magazine and her show has a laid back, informative format.

I like Tyler Florence, his show is called Tyler's Ultimate. These are both daytime shows, btw.

My favorites are Ina and Nigella and Giada. I must be the only one to find Alton too silly to watch

At least the first part of his shows turn me off. I like Michael Chiarello's(sp)cooking, but sometimes he comes across as a bit full of himself and his "Napa Style". I like Tyler Florence too.

I agree, Rachael does at least cook. She doesn't start with bowls of everything

sliced, diced and ready to go. I think her show is a good example for maybe new cooks to see how to do all that chopping and how to get organized. I think it's her cheery, non-stop chatter that some don't like and maybe they might try to hit the mute. LOL I have tried a couple of her recipes and they have always been delicious as well as quick. I love watching Michael C. but it's obvious he never has to clean up all the containers he uses. DH and I always watch Iron Chef. They amaze me!

I saw a couple of the Ready, Steady Cook and thought it was fun but it went

off right after we moved back. 80(

Good, now when I can I'll settle down and watch some shows...the galette Jaques made

last night is such an easy and nifty way of doing a pud.....I've made them but never seen anyone else do it. I LOVE the two fat ladies and Delia ...Nan I love the BBC shows...I'll watch a couple in July, that's for sure.
