What's your favorite "fast food" - not homecooked? We had...

oh, I forgot to mention a tiny, authentic Mexican place that has a drive-through....

with wonderful food...their tacos, steak or fish, salsas, enchiladas, are tdf.

If we don't want to cook and can't bother to get dressed up, we go to California tortilla or Ledo's

Pizza. We LOVE Ledo's Pizza. We'll also do pick up from the Far East in Rockville -- our favorite Chinese restaurant.

Can't get it here, but Rubio's Fish Tacos! And Lobster Burrito!

I ate my way through college at Rubios. What I wouldn't give for one of those right about now. The nearest Rubio's must be 3000 miles away. Rubios is a chain Mexican restaraunt, specializing in fish tacos, that I believe started in the San Diego area. I know they're still around because I saw one in Las Vegas last year (and had a TO DIE FOR lobster burrito...where else can you get fast food lobster???), but I'm not sure how far they've gotten from So Cal.

They're doing a silly radio promotion for shrimp tacos lately--haven't been in to try them

Way too local, but if anyone ever finds themselves in Newport Beach, CA.....

go down to Balboa Island (at the end of Jamboree) and check out Picante Martin's, a humble family-owned Mexican take-out place with the best carnitas (and sopes, mole, chile verde etc.) north of the border.

yummmm, In 'n Out burgers - had one last week! Thanks for the address, Joe, we went to that one!...

My sister and I even took a picture of the french fry cutting guy!

Hubby was sad that I didn't bring one home for him, but I just didn't think it would last that 5 hour plane ride smileys/smile.gif

We have KFC (one with a Taco Bell) and Burger King. KFC lunch drive through a spicy thigh and a Hein

neken beer....at night we pop into a West Indian for Dhal, Korma, Basmati and Naan. They have a real tandoor oven in sight. (Or get take-out from them)
The building is an old wooden West Indian house with a tin roof...when it rains it's very noisy!
The tables and chairs are all formica and crome...the really old ones...and squished near each other.
We get up to take our choice of drink from the 'frige squeezing past other patrons...makes for "meeting and chatting" with strangers....and at the end of the meal he comes round and adds up the bottles lined up on the table. No finess, lots of fun.

The PRC: Pleasant Ridge Chili for Cincinnati Chili, Cheese Coneys with the Works and...

a plate of the best french fries in the universe (to share of course). LOL

Total piggy fat fest.
