Foods, Spices, Herbs - Which ones are on your hate list? I HATE cloves and ricotta cheese. I'm sure

veal, anisette, black licorice, oysters, snails, lobster, stinky cheese, star fruit, ethiopian bread

Ethiopian Bread? Now that's a new one - I've never tried it. What's it like? I'm with you on

lobster - used to love it, now I'm not wild about it. I don't hate it like I do other food items, such as ricotta smileys/smile.gif, but I'm just not into it. I only had oysters once - Ugh.

I hate, really hate, the taste of charbroiled beef.

Especially the burps after it! Yeeeuuccck!

Bananas and ice cream strangely enough aren't high on my list either.

What can I say, Joe, you have very eclectic taste! But I just can't picture you eating canned peas!

(Fingers slipped). Please say it isn't so! Even decadent, creamy dark chocolate ice cream????

Say it ain't so, Dawn! I'm hoping it's the combination of bananas and ice cream that you mean,

and not the whole ice cream food group you don't like.

The only canned I ever had was when I was a kid - they forced me to eat S&W. The stuff was mushy

and horrible tasting. So, that turned me off to canned vegetables forever (except for corn). Are there other brands out there that don't have overcooked, mushy peas, etc?

I just checked my pantry and the Costco brand is......S&W. Maybe our mothers felt obliged to "cook"

canned vegetables beyond recognition. I assure you that if you just heat them through they're quite tasty. By contrast, frozen peas are sort of chewy and mushy at the same time, and I don't trust their bright green color. Real peas from the garden are grey-green, like the canned ones.
